Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” Soars to #12 as Pop Radio’s Greatest Gainer

Powered by pop radio’s greatest weekly airplay gain, Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” soars into the Top 15 on this week’s Mediabase airplay chart.

The song received ~7,622 plays during the September 6-12 tracking week. That count, which bests last week’s mark by a format-leading 2,077, propels the song six places to a new high of #12.

Other notable gainers included The Weeknd’s #10 “The Hills” (+1,992), Taylor Swift’s #14 “Wildest Dreams” (+1,900), Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ #19 “Downtown” (+1,821), and Shawn Mendes’ #13 “Stitches” (+1,454).

“Wildest Dreams” and “Stitches” are also new to the Top 15.

In addition to its #12 pop position, “What Do You Mean?” grabs #22 at rhythmic and a Top 40 slot at hot adult contemporary.
