Maddie & Tae’s “Start Here” Pacing For 20K+ First Week Sales

Powered by the #1 country radio hit “Girl in a Country Song” and impending Top 10 “Fly,” Maddie & Tae’s debut LP “Start Here” is expected to sell 20-23,000 in its first week of release.

While not a blockbuster figure, the projected tally tops those achieved by recent debut efforts from A Thousand Horses, Kelsea Ballerini, Canaan Smith, and Michael Ray.

Granted, those albums were released in conjunction with a single country radio single hitting its peak. “Start Here,” which comes many months after “Girl in a Country Song” reached its peak, has two hit radio singles on its track list.

Expected to sell upwards of 325,000 and 85,000, respectively, The Weeknd’s “Beauty Behind the Madness” and Halsey’s “Badlands” are tracking as the week’s best-selling albums.
