Ratings: MTV’s “Scream” Sinks in Week Two

MTV’s “Scream,” which posted modest numbers for last week’s premiere episode, fared even more disappointingly in week two.

Tuesday’s episode posted a 0.37 adults 18-49 rating with 811,000 viewers.

Neither number is good. Moreover, both numbers trail those of the previous week’s premiere. The inaugural episode drew a 0.45 adults 18-49 rating with 1.026 million viewers.

In a Monday press release, MTV touted that the premiere episode added roughly 560,000 viewers in the live+3 report (which accounts for three days of time-shifted viewing). It remains to be seen whether this week’s episode will enjoy a comparable lift.

What is clear, however, is that this week’s “Scream” failed to draw an impressive audience for the initial broadcast.
