Taylor Swift’s “Style” Becomes Adult Contemporary Radio’s Most Played Song

As her “Bad Blood” continues to reign over the pop airplay chart, Taylor Swift’s previous single “Style” is finally on the verge of claiming #1 at adult contemporary.

The song, which spent time earlier this year atop Mediabase’s pop and hot adult contemporary airplay charts, is currently the most played song at adult contemporary. If it can retain its lead through Sunday, it will officially become #1 on the Mediabase AC chart.

In doing so, it would dethrone Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” Sheeran’s smash, which first seized the crown from Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space,” has reigned since March.

“Style” received 2,746 plays during the seven days between June 20 and 26 (+90). Sheeran’s tune earned 2,738 spins within that window (-22).

Other Top 5 AC songs include Maroon 5’s “Sugar” (#3), Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” (#4) and Kelly Clarkson’s “Heartbeat Song” (#5).
