Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” Remains #1 at Hot AC, Jason Derulo Goes Top 10

Walk The Moon [RCA]

Widely separated from the rest of the pack, Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” earns a third straight week atop Mediabase’s hot adult contemporary airplay chart.

This week’s #1 position is attributable to the song’s ~7,292 tracking week spins. Maroon 5’s former chart-topper “Sugar,” which ranks at #2 this week, received only ~5,853 spins during the May 17-23 tracking week.

A multi-format hit, “Shut Up and Dance” is also #3 at pop radio and #10 at adult contemporary.

As for Hot AC, the balance of the Top 5 includes Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” (#3), Andy Grammer’s “Honey, I’m Good” (#4) and Taylor Swift’s “Style” (#5).

While their positions shifted, all three of those songs appeared in last week’s Top 5.

The bottom half of the Top 10 includes George Ezra’s “Budapest” (#6), Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk (featuring Bruno Mars)” (#7), Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” (#8), The Weeknd’s “Earned It” (#9) and Jason Derulo’s “Want to Want Me” (#10).

Up three places this week, the latter song is the lone addition to the weekly Top 10.
