When the April 27-May 3 tracking week concluded, David Guetta’s “Hey Mama (featuring Nicki Minaj and Afrojack)” was within striking distance of the 500,000 sales mark.

According to Nielsen Music, the song drove approximately 92,000 paid downloads during that tracking week. Up 7% from the previous week’s total, the count brought “Hey Mama” to a cumulative mark of roughly 481,000.

While the achievement will not become official until the May 4-10 tracking week ends, “Hey Mama” has already sold considerably more than 19,000 copies this week. Realistically, it has thus already crossed the 500,000 mark.

“Hey Mama” appears at a peak position of #14 on this week’s Hot 100. It also earns peak positions on the Digital Songs (#7), Radio Songs (#22) and Streaming Songs (#45) subcharts.
