Ratings: “Game of Thrones” Falls from Season Premiere

While still the top program on cable–by far–Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” did slide from the previous week’s season five premiere.

This weekend’s “Thrones” drew a 3.6 adults 18-49 rating with 6.81 million viewers. Both numbers were down from those of the season premiere, which scored a 4.19 rating with 8.00 million viewers.

The second season four episode, which aired on April 13, 2014, drew the same 3.6 adults 18-49 rating but a slightly lesser viewership average of 6.64 million.

HBO followed this weekend’s “Thrones” with “Silicon Valley” (1.0 rating, 1.73 million viewers), “Veep” (0.5, 0.99 million) and “Last Week Tonight” (0.7, 1.45 million).
