Meghan Trainor’s “Dear Future Husband” Vaults Into Pop Radio’s Top 25

Continuing to work its way toward the lofty marks set by predecessors “Lips are Movin” and “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor’s new single “Dear Future Husband” this week jumps into the Top 25 at pop radio.

Up eight places this week, “DFH” grabs the #23 position on the official Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The song’s Top 25 ranking comes courtesy the 3,040 spins it received during the March 29-April 4 tracking week. That spin count bests last week’s mark by a healthy 1,078. Only six pop radio tracks enjoyed a greater week-over-week airplay gain.

“Husband” becomes Trainor’s third straight single to reach the Top 25 at pop radio. The aforementioned “Bass” and “Lips,” which each quickly ascended into the Top 25, ultimately peaked at #1 and #4, respectively.

“Dear Future Husband” is the week’s only new addition to the Top 25. Some songs do, however, reach the Top 30 this week:

— David Guetta’s “Hey Mama (featuring Nicki Minaj and Afrojack)” rises six places to a new high of #28 (2,362 spins).

— Chris Brown & Tyga’s “Ayo” rises two places to a new peak of #30 (2,270 spins).
