Empire’s “You’re So Beautiful” Impacts Rhythmic Radio on March 31

By the end of the most recent tracking week, standout “Empire” track “You’re So Beautiful” possessed a cumulative sales total of 164,000. It had gone as high as #47 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Very aware of its resonance with fans, Columbia Records is formally sending the track to rhythmic radio.

According to an announcement from the label, “You’re So Beautiful,” which is credited to “Empire Cast featuring Jussie Smollett and Yazz,” will go for radio adds on March 31.

When it does so, it will become the first “Empire” song to officially impact the rhythmic format.

Success will not, however, make it the first “Empire” song to gain prominence at radio. That honor belongs to pilot single “Good Enough,” which is now one of the urban format’s 40 most played songs.
