Hot 100: Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up & Dance,” Calvin Harris’ “Outside” Enter Top 40

The reigning champion on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart–and a recent crossover entrant on the Pop songs chart–is now a top 40 hit on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100.

Walk the Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance,” that song, jumps seven places to a new peak of #36 on this week’s edition of the chart.

Likely to continue rising thanks to its surging sales and growing mainstream airplay, “Shut Up and Dance” is the band’s first career Hot 100 entry.

— Also new to the weekly Top 40 is Calvin Harris’ “Outside (featuring Ellie Goulding).” Now a top ten hit on the Pop Songs chart, “Outside” rises three places to a new high of #39 on the all-encompassing Hot 100.

“Outside” follows “Summer” and “Blame” as Harris’ third straight Top 40 hit.
