Brett Eldredge’s “Mean to Me” Becomes Country’s Most Played Song

Barring a cruel twist of fate, Brett Eldredge will this weekend score his third straight #1 at country radio.

“Mean to Me,” the song destined to top Sunday’s official Mediabase country airplay chart, is already the leader on the format’s rolling chart.

In addition to claiming the greatest Mediabase chart score during the week between March 6 and 12, “Mean to Me” also commanded the format’s greatest number of spins and audience impressions.

It received 7,772 spins and 61.25 million audience impressions within the aforementioned seven day window; Jason Aldean’s “Just Gettin’ Started,” which held #1 on last week’s chart, received 7,745 plays and 60.06 million audience impressions.

If “Mean to Me” can retain its lead through Sunday–and all indications are that it will–it will be officially crowned #1 on the Mediabase country radio chart.

Eldredge previously topped the chart with “Don’t Ya” and “Beat of the Music.”
