Hozier’s Debut Album, Nicki Minaj’s “Pinkprint” Certified Gold

The Recording Industry Association of America issued five gold album certifications during the month of February.

Hozier’s studio debut “Hozier” and Nicki Minaj’s recently released “The Pinkprint” represent two of them.

According to the RIAA’s monthly recap, the albums earned their certifications on February 27, 2015. The gold award recognizes US sales in excess of 500,000 (based on shipment data).

Other newly certified gold albums include Lana Del Rey’s “Ultraviolence,” Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga’s “Cheek to Cheek” and Beck’s “The Information.”

In addition to the five gold album awards, the RIAA also issued one platinum certification in February. That went to Bon Jovi’s “Greatest Hits Ultimate Collection.”
