Pop radio welcomes two newcomers to its top ten this week, and both songs feature Ellie Goulding’s vocals.

Her own “Love Me Like You Do” and Calvin Harris’ “Outside (featuring Ellie Goulding)” rise to the #8 and #9 positions on this week’s official Mediabase pop airplay chart, respectively.

“Love Me,” which climbs three places from last week’s position, earns its #8 rank on the strength of the 10,026 spins it received during the March 1-7 tracking week. Indicative of its impressive momentum, it week-over-week spin gain of 1,545 ranks as pop’s third greatest.

“Outside” enjoys a similar three place vault this week. It grabs the #9 spot courtesy its 8,508 weekly spins.

The former song is also knocking on the door of the top ten at hot adult contemporary. “Love Me Like You Do,” which commanded 3,625 weekly Hot AC spins, claims the #11 position this week.

As previously reported, Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” is this week’s #1 song at both pop and Hot AC.
