Ratings: SyFy’s “12 Monkeys” Hits New Low in Demo, Adds Viewers

From a macroscopic perspective, there is little positive to be written about this week’s edition of “12 Monkeys.” The SyFy drama continues to struggle.

On a microscopic basis, one can, however, find a positive element to the performance. It finally reversed its viewership decline.

For the first time on record, “12 Monkeys” enjoyed a week-over-week increase in total viewership. This week’s audience total of 686,000 bests the 664,000 drawn by last week’s episode.

Unfortunately, that positive is accompanied by a notable negative: Friday’s episode slipped to a series low in adults 18-49.

After spending two weeks at a series low 0.23 rating, “12 Monkeys” this week fell to a mere 0.17 in the key young adults demo.

— Lead-out “Helix” performed similarly this week. Its viewership average of 474,000 tops the 443,000 draw by last week’s episode, but its 0.10 adults 18-49 rating (down from last week’s 0.13) represents a new series low.
