Hot 100: Jessie J’s “Masterpiece” Debuts at #65, J. Cole’s “Apparently” Enters

A show-stealing performance at last Tuesday’s “The Voice” finale helped Jessie J’s “Masterpiece” quickly establish itself on the sales radar. Not even on the chart prior to the performance, the “Sweet Talker” track blasted into the Top 10 on the all-genre iTunes single sales chart.

That wave of sales interest also helps “Masterpiece” make an impression on the weekly Hot 100.

Jessie J’s song launches at #65 on Billboard’s all-encompassing single track chart. It follows “Price Tag (featuring BoB)” (#23 peak), “Domino” (#6 peak), “Bang Bang (with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj)” (#3 peak) and “Burnin’ Up (featuring 2 Chainz)” (#86 peak) as the artist’s fifth Hot 100 entry.

Jessie J performed “Masterpiece” with third-place “The Voice” finisher Chris Jamison.

Also new to the Hot 100 this week:

— J. Cole’s “Apparently.” Issued as the first radio single from his “2014 Forest Hills Drive,” the song enters the chart at #90.

— Chris Young’s “Lonely Eyes.” The country star’s single starts at #95.
