Update 2: An upward adjustment in the final ratings report brings the performance of this year’s “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” to a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating with 9.29 million viewers.
Even with last year’s show in the adults 18-49 demographic, the CBS broadcast trails last year’s edition in total viewers. The 2013 “VSFS” drew 9.72 million.
Update: Tuesday’s “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” delivered a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating with 9.12 million viewers. Not simply the victor in its timeslot, the CBS broadcast was easily the top-rated program on all of television Tuesday. Its viewership was fourth for the night behind NBC’s “The Voice” (10.87 million) and CBS’ own “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (10.67 million) and “NCIS” re-run (10.22 million).
Last year’s show drew a 3.4 adults 18-49 rating with 9.71 million viewers in the comparable fast nationals.
It featured the same headline performer in Taylor Swift, and it also posted the same overnight household rating.
Like last year’s broadcast, Tuesday’s annual airing of “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show” drew a 5.8 overnight household rating. While there is no guarantee the consistency will manifest in the adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers, the overnight stability does rule out the possibility of a sharp increase or decrease in those columns.
Adults 18-49 and total viewership data will be revealed by 11:30AM ET.
Featuring popular Victoria’s Secret Angels like Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio, the lingerie-oriented “Fashion Show” welcomed musical guests Swift, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and Hozier.
