Hot 100: Iggy Azalea’s “Beg for It,” Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking” Hit the Top 40

Another Iggy Azalea release, another top forty hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

Azalea’s new single “Beg for It,” which features MØ, rises fourteen places to a new peak of #35 this week.

“Beg for It” joins the company of Azalea’s previous top forty hits “Fancy (featuring Charli XCX)” and “Black Widow (featuring Rita Ora).” They peaked at #1 and #3, respectively.

“Work,” Azalea’s first notable release, went as high as #54 once “Fancy” established Azalea’s place on the pop culture radar.

— Also new to the top forty this week is Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” Not even yet being pushed on pop radio, the follow-up to his top ten hit “Don’t” surges twenty two places to #40 this week. It is benefiting from solid levels of sales and streaming (as well as decent early airplay from the adult pop/hot adult contemporary format).
