FGL, RaeLynn Hit Top 20 at Country; Lady A, Luke Bryan Go Top 30

The ascension of Frankie Ballard’s “Sunshine & Whiskey” to the #1 position was not the only instance of movement on this week’s official Mediabase country airplay chart.

The top five welcomed a newcomer in Maddie & Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song.” The duo’s debut single rises one position to #5 courtesy the 6,915 spins it received during the November 9-15 tracking period.

New to the top ten this week is Brad Paisley’s “Perfect Storm.” Also up one place this week, the song grabs #10 on the strength of 5,100 weekly spins.

Florida Georgia Line’s “Sun Daze” and RaeLynn’s “God Made Girls” enter the format’s top twenty this week. “Sun Daze,” which received 3,291 weekly spins, jumps five places to #18. RaeLynn’s iHeartRadio “On the Verge” song “God Made Girls” improves its position by two spots; it reaches #20 with 3,164 weekly country radio plays.

Hunter Hayes’ “Tattoo” hops into the top 25 this week. The format’s #25 song, “Tattoo” received 2,238 spins.

Kristian Bush’s “Trailer Hitch,” Lady Antebellum’s “Freestyle” and Luke Bryan’s “I See You” all reach the top thirty this week. “Trailer Hitch” rises three spots to #28 courtesy 1,440 weekly spins, while “Freestyle” grabs #29 (+7) on the strength of 1,544 spins (but less chart points than the Kristian Bush song). Bryan’s “I See You,” which benefited from the country format’s largest week-over-week spin gain (+1,024), rockets twenty five places to #30 this week. Its weekly play total was 1,292.

Jason Aldean’s “Just Gettin’ Started” and Eric Paslay’s “She Don’t Love You” reach the top 40 this week. Aldean’s song grabs #35 (+24) with 1,048 spins, while Paslay’s tune scores the #39 slot (+5) via 787 weekly plays.
