Epic: Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer” is On 80+ Stations

Touting the song’s successful impact, Epic Records boasted Wednesday that Fifth Harmony’s new single “Sledgehammer” has been added by “over 80 stations.”

Thirty six of those adds were confirmed by Mediabase on Tuesday; the balance includes stations that began supporting the song prior to impact and many currently unreported ones that will, presumably, appear on next week’s Add Board.

As far as airplay goes, Mediabase reports that Las Vegas’ 104.3 NOW, Palm Springs’ 97-7 KRCK, Poughkeepsie’s K 104.7, McAllen’s 107.9 Mix FM and Chicago’s B96 are showing the most significant early support. Each played the song between 16 and 29 times during the November 5 – 11 tracking period.

“Sledgehammer” has thus far garnered its greatest audience exposure on B96 and 107.9 Mix. Plays on the two stations generated weekly impression counts of 204,000 and 194,000, respectively.

Additional promotion for the new single has come via performances on the MTV EMAs and ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

Like predecessor “BO$$,” “Sledgehammer” appears on the girl group’s forthcoming album “Reflection.”
