FOX Cancels “Utopia,” Show, Stream End “Immediately”

Following some initial ratings struggle, FOX’s “Utopia” quickly lost its Tuesday night timeslot.

It has now lost its Friday timeslot as well. The FOX reality experiment has officially been cancelled.

Last week’s episode will serve as the show’s series finale. Additionally, producers confirmed Sunday that the livestream was to be “immediately” shut down.

“Thank you for your support since the start of Utopia. We greatly appreciate it. However, the Utopia project — including the internet streams — will no longer continue, effective immediately. Last Friday’s Halloween episode will be the last to air,” read an official statement on the show’s website.

Friday’s edition of “Utopia” drew a paltry 0.5 adults 18-49 rating with 1.56 million viewers.
