Taylor Swift Set for “The Tonight Show,” But Ryan Adams to Perform

Swifties have a reason to be very excited: Taylor Swift will be appearing on the Wednesday, August 13 edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

They also have a reason to curb that excitement: Swift is not listed as the night’s musical guest.

While Swift is due to release new music imminently — indications are that Taylor’s new single is shipping on August 18 — she, at best, will only be talking about it on August 13.

The night’s musical performance will instead come from Ryan Adams. Andrew Rannells will also appear as an interview guest.

Swift’s appearance should be most notably related to her role in “The Giver,” which hits theaters two days after her “Tonight Show” appearance.
