Ariana Grande Scores New Platinum, Gold Certifications

Currently lighting up the iTunes sales chart with three tracks from her upcoming “My Everything” album, Ariana Grande is also receiving notoriety for songs released during previous album cycles.

According to the RIAA, Grande’s breakthrough single “The Way,” which features Mac Miller, earned a 3x digital platinum certification during the month of July. That song, which peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100, served as the lead single from “Yours Truly” and solidified the Nickelodeon actress as a force in pop music.

Grande also secured a digital gold certification and standard gold certification for her respective singles “Right There (featuring Big Sean)” and “Put Your Hearts Up.”

The former served as the final single from the “Yours Truly” era; the latter was released as Grande’s pop music debut in 2011.
