Ariana Grande’s “Problem” Blasts into Top 40 at Pop Radio

A bona fide monster, Ariana Grande’s “Problem (featuring Iggy Azalea)” has already become one of the forty most played songs at pop radio.

According to Mediabase’s rolling update, which tracks pop radio airplay for the seven days ending May 1, “Problem” ranks as the format’s 40th most played song. Since the song was not even available for the entire seven day tracking period, the performance is remarkable.

Even more remarkable is the size of the song’s audience. Thanks to its exposure on top stations like Los Angeles’ KIIS and New York’s Z100, “Problem” has garnered a whopping 10.54 million impressions. That represents the format’s 31st-largest audience.

An instant success on iTunes as well, “Problem” held the store’s number one sales spot from its release at midnight on Monday until the Friday launch of Coldplay’s new song “A Sky Full of Stars.”
