KONGOS’ Alt Hit “Come With Me Now” to Make Top 40 Run

Alternative radio’s number one song is officially seeking the mainstream spotlight.

Epic Records announced Tuesday that KONGOS’ “Come With Me Now,” which recently became the most-spun song on the alternative radio format, will impact Top 40 on April 14.

Several of the format’s stations, including 20 on 20, KHKS Dallas, WRVW Nashville, WNOH Norfolk, WFBC Greenville and WDOD Chattanooga, have already begun playing the song, which comes from the band crowned VH1’s “You Oughta Know” artist for May.

In advancing to number one on Alt Radio after just ten weeks, “Come With Me Now” became the fastest to reach the apex since Lorde’s crossover smash “Royals.” It was the fastest for a band’s debut effort since Evanescence launched “Bring Me to Life” more than a decade ago.
