“Bates Motel” Ratings Hold Steady Following Buzzworthy Episode

Disproving the notion that last week’s ratings rebound was a dead cat bounce, A&E’s “Bates Motel” mirrored the performance for this week’s episode.

Benefiting from immense buzz over last week’s installment, which featured a distressed Norman taking on the iconic Norma persona, Monday’s episode held steady with a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

Its viewership average, meanwhile, registered at a slightly improved 2.27 million.

After premiering to a series high 1.3 rating, “Bates” slipped to consecutive series lows. Though the numbers remain below their comparable season one segments, they reflect a welcome resurgence from the recent period of lows.
