Ratings: “Total Divas” Season Premiere Down from Season One

Though it performed respectably by the network’s standards, Sunday’s season two “Total Divas” opener delivered the series’ weakest viewership performance for a premiere episode, reports Travis Yanan.

With a 0.55 adults 18-49 rating and an average of 1.07 million viewers, the episode, which went against 9PM behemoths “The Walking Dead” and “Resurrection,” trailed both the July 2013 series premiere and November 2013 midseason premiere.

Those respective episodes, which both aired in the later 10PM slot, posted a 0.7 with 1.34 million and a 0.6 with 1.26 million.

Unlike the November midseason premiere, this episode of the WWE-themed reality series was not asked to contend with Sunday Night Football. It did, however, have to perform without an original “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” lead-in.
