Mali Music’s “Beautiful” Sales Surge After “American Idol”

It might not be exploding the way Phillip Phillips’ “Raging Fire” did, but Mali Music’s “Beautiful” is definitely making an impact on iTunes.

Credit for the song’s sudden ascent into the Top 25 of iTunes Single Sales Chart is owed exclusively to Thursday’s “American Idol” results show.

Like judge Harry Connick, Jr., Mali Music took the stage for a performance Thursday night. Though largely unknown prior to the episode, the singer’s charisma shined through and helped make “Beautiful” an in-demand song.

Currently #21, “Beautiful” might not make the same Top 10 run that “Raging Fire” did after Phillips performed his song last week. It has, however, already moved higher on iTunes than Kodaline’s “All I Want” did after the Irish band introduced its song to the “Idol” audience.
