“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Ratings Improve

The impact of the Winter Olympics lead-in creates a need to take all ratings for this week’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with a grain of salt.

But a gain is a gain, and NBC can celebrate that reality Thursday.

Thursday’s edition of “Fallon,” which featured Michelle Obama, Will Ferrell and Arcade Fire, drew a 5.3 overnight metered market rating. Up from the 5.2 for Wednesday’s show, it was even with the 5.3 for the prior night’s broadcast.

Monday’s premiere drew a 7.1.

According to data from the 25 markets with people meters, Thursday’s “Fallon” posted a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. Wednesday’s show delivered a 2.2.
