Jake Bugg, Candice Glover to Perform on “American Idol”

With a compelling semifinals results show officially in its rear view, “American Idol” has officially turned its attention to the finals. And in addition to confirming the theme for next week’s performance show, the FOX reality series also announced two guest performers for Thursday’s results show.

Season twelve “Idol” winner Candice Glover and English musician Jake Bugg, those two performers, will take the stage before Ryan Seacrest reveals which of the thirteen finalists will be departing the competition. Glover will sing a medley of “Cried” and “Same Kinda Man;” FOX has yet to announce Bugg’s song selection.

The weekly departure will be determined by the vote totals from Wednesday’s performance show. A two-hour broadcast, the Wednesday “Idol” episode will ask the thirteen finalists to each sing a song that conveys the message “This is me.”

Officially crowned this week, the “American Idol” finalists are Ben Briley, Caleb Johnson, Jessica Meuse, MK Nobilette, Emily Piriz, Alex Preston, Dexter Roberts, Majesty Rose, Malaya Watson, Sam Woolf, Kristen O’Connor, Jena Irene and CJ Harris.
