“Brooklyn Nine Nine” Surprises With Golden Globes Dominance

Credible critics–and the show’s small weekly audience–have not only recognized “Brooklyn Nine Nine” as the best new comedy of the season but as the best comedy currently on network television.

To the surprise of many onlookers, the Hollywood Foreign Press agreed.

The cop-themed FOX comedy unexpectedly took the Golden Globe for Best TV Comedy.

And that was not the show’s only big win Sunday night. Andy Samberg, who stars as Detective Jake Peralta, won for Best Actor.

Fellow “SNL” alum and “Parks and Recreation” star Amy Poehler, meanwhile, took home the Best Actress trophy.
