Kacey Musgraves Scores Grammy Nomination for Country Album

As one of 2013’s most buzzworthy artists, Kacey Musgraves’ appeal and critical support extends far beyond the borders of country music.

But insofar as she was responsible for one of country music’s most compelling albums, it was a given that she would be in the mix for the Grammy Award for Best Country Album.

Sure enough, CBS’ live Grammys nomination special revealed that Kacey Musgraves’ “Same Trailer Different Park” is one of the category’s five nominees.

Other nominees include Jason Aldean’s “Night Train,” Tim McGraw’s “Two Lanes of Freedom,” Blake Shelton’s “Based on a True Story” and Taylor Swift’s “Red.”

Swift’s “Red” was also nominated in the overall album of the year category.
