Unhappy Ending: Lifetime Officially Cancels “The Client List”

Jennifer Love-Hewitt’s massage therapist drama will not be returning for a third season.

Multiple sources confirmed Friday that Lifetime has officially canceled “The Client List,” which wrapped its second season this spring.

Though the risque series did suffer a ratings decline in its second season, Deadline notes that the cancellation was not in response to performance issues.

Instead, sources allege renewal talks broke down due to creative differences between Lifetime, Sony TV and Love-Hewitt. With no resolution in sight, Lifetime and Sony mutually agreed to end the show.
