“Breaking Bad” Emmy Nominee Joins NBC’s “Community”

Following in the footsteps of fellow “Breaking Bad” alum Giancarlo Esposito, Jonathan Banks will be appearing on NBC’s “Community.”

Banks, however, will assume a much more significant role. Entertainment Weekly reports that he will appear in eleven fifth season episodes as Pat Nichols, “an intense criminology professor with a mysterious background in military and police work.”

The actor, who received an Emmy nomination this past season for his work as Mike Ehrmantraut on “Breaking Bad,” will debut in the second episode of the season.

NBC has not yet set a premiere date for “Community”‘s next batch of thirteen episodes.
