“Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous” Ratings Hit Low, “Vinny Show” Not Hot

Though it no longer faces significant original competition from the major networks, MTV’s Thursday night block remains in the ratings gutter.

Both “The Vinny Show” and “Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous” dipped to lows in adults 18-49 this week, with the latter hitting a dreadful 0.1 rating.

“Stone,” Bo Burnham’s mock-mockumentary project, attracted only 369,000 total viewers to go with that poor demographic performance, providing absolutely nothing the cable network could spin into something positive. And while “The Vinny Show” is slightly stronger, its 0.3 adults 18-49 rating (from a series-low 346,000 viewers in that demo) and 721,000 viewer tally are a far cry from what “Snooki & JWoww” routinely deliver, let alone the monster numbers “Jersey Shore” put up throughout its run.
