Report: Jennifer Hudson Confirmed for “American Idol,” Who Else Will Judge?

E! Online reported Friday that Jennifer Hudson has officially agreed to judge on next season’s “American Idol.”

The Hudson story comes amid reports that “Idol,” which is expected to replace all of this past season’s judges, is eying three former contestants for its season thirteen panel.

Hudson, who has since won an Oscar, competed in the third season of “American Idol.” She came in seventh after being eliminated during what reigns as “Idol”‘s all-time most shocking results show. Known as the “three divas,” Hudson, Fantasia Barrino and La Toya London ranked in the bottom three during Barry Manilow Week despite widespread support from judges and critics.

Reports say that season one winner Kelly Clarkson is likely to fill one of the other vacant seats. “Idol” reportedly wants either Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken for the third spot.
