“New Girl” Ratings Hold Flat for Season Finale, Taylor Swift Appearance

Neither Taylor Swift nor the value of a season finale could boost Tuesday’s “New Girl,” which held flat in the ratings.

“Elaine’s Big Day,” the continuation of last week’s episode and the end to the FOX comedy’s acclaimed second season delivered a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating and 4.1 million viewers, stats which were essentially in line with last week’s performance.

Taylor Swift made a widely-reported cameo as the titular character.

“New Girl” lead-out “The Mindy Project” posted a 1.3 with 2.7 million viewers.

Earlier in the night, “So You Think You Can Dance” opened its latest cycle with a 1.9 and 5.0 million viewers.
