“24” Return Confirmed By FOX, Details On The Show’s Limited Run

FOX announced Monday that “24” will indeed return to the network for a limited run.

According to FOX’s entertainment president Kevin Reilly, “24,” featuring Kiefer Sutherland in a reprisal of his Jack Bauer role, will return for a twelve-episode run next summer.

Though only half as long as the typical “24” season, it will nonetheless adhere to its real-time format. As of right now, the plan is for the show to skip hours rather than only encompass half a day.

Long-rumored for a potential movie spin-off, “24” is more conceptually suited for a television series, and the cancellation of “Touch” sped along negotiations to bring the show–with its star–back for another day.
