Ryan Murphy Confirms “Precious” Star for “American Horror Story: Coven”

The third “American Horror Story” is continuing to take shape.

Creator Ryan Murphy announced Monday that “Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is joining the cast of “‘American Horror Story: Coven.'”

Sidibe, best known for her work in “Precious,” joins new “AHS” addition Kathy Bates and returning players Jessica Lange, Taissa Farmiga, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe and Frances Controy in the ensemble cast.

“American Horror Story: Coven,” expected to deal with witchcraft, premieres this fall.
