UFC Announces China Card, Show to Air on FUEL TV With Big UFC Fighters

The international side of UFC took a major step forward Tuesday as the promotion confirmed its Chinese debut for this fall.

UFC will deliver its first-ever card from China at The Venetian Macao’s CotaiArena in Macau, China on November 10, 2012. The event will air in America as a free television broadcast on FUEL TV, UFC’s third-tier broadcast partner under its ongoing deal with FOX Sports.

“Breaking into a market with a population of over 1.3 billion is both a testament to the growth of our sport and a long-term challenge we are excited to undertake,” said Lorenzo Fertitta, UFC Chairman and CEO. “This is just the first of many world-class fights we plan to hold over the coming years in China, one of the birthplaces of martial arts. The world-class CotaiArena in Macau is an ideal place to start this journey.”

Though the international card will air on FUEL, Fertitta told Yahoo! Sports that the promotion will debut in the nation “guns ablazing” and feature some top UFC fighters on the show.
