Phoenix Suns Offer Contract to Eric Gordon; Hornets to Match

Eric Gordon has given all indications that he is looking outside of New Orleans for next season, but the Hornets do not appear ready to part with the key recipient of their Chris Paul trade.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the team plans to match the four-year, $58 million offer sheet Gordon signed with the Phoenix Suns, who have emerged as one of his key suitors.

Gordon put the Suns organization over big time in an official statement, noting that “Phoenix is just where my heart is now.” But as of right now, New Orleans is apparently not discouraged from keeping him around.
