“Unforgettable” Ratings Start Decently, “Ringer” Sinks in Week Two

On paper, last week’s premiere numbers for CW’s “Ringer” were acceptable. Still, fans were cautioned to see how the show would hold up against fresh competition from the other broadcast networks.

The early verdict is: “not well.”

The show dipped to a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating with 2.0 million viewers. Though that performance is, unfortunately for the network, not terrible by CW standards, it does officially rule out the show’s potential standing as a hit.

On the plus side, it built over lead-in “90210,” which barely registered at a 0.7 and 1.6 million.

Over on CBS, “NCIS” (4.2 rating, 19.6 million) and “NCIS: LA” (3.6, 16.7 million) performed as expected. New series “Unforgettable,” meanwihle, opened to decent ratings, posting a 2.9 with 14.0 million.

As it stands, that represents an improvement over what “The Good Wife” did in the spot last week, although it is not certain the show will be able to hold at that level.
