In recent weeks, WWE set the wheels in motion for a new storyline direction involving one of its top prospects.
But as episodes of its weekly television show went by, the anticipated angle never took off. Backstage reports on the situation suggested there were factors at play preventing WWE from going in the direction most felt was obvious.
Yet on the live SmackDown! two weeks ago, that original, obvious, plan seemed to be back in play. And as of this week’s SmackDown! taping, it is official.

During the show taped Tuesday, which will air on SyFy this Friday, Mistico, the original Sin Cara, will return in character to confront Hunico, who had been portraying Sin Cara over the past month.
