“Family Guy” Gives Peter “Lottery Fever;” Spoiler Look at Season Premiere

Depending on the perspective of whom you ask, the upcoming season of “Family Guy” is either its ninth, tenth or eleventh. Either way, the show that has become FOX’s standout animated comedy–often out-rating “The Simpsons” when the NFL benefit is absent–returns for its next season on September 25.

The premiere episode, entitled “Lottery Fever,” sees Peter Griffin fail to stay grounded after winning the lottery.

“Peter blows his savings on lottery tickets and the family writes it off as one of his usual shenanigans until they end up millionaires. In true Griffin fashion, they can’t handle the good fortune and struggle to stay grounded,” reads the release.

FOX has issued screen-stills to hype the episode; minor/implicit spoilers are present. Click the thumbnails for the full-size images:

  1. I love how Mr. Pewterschmidt calls and asks if they spent all of their money yet. I think that was an appropriate foreshadowing for this episode. There are so many lines in this episode I would be afraid to repeat along with the idea that the use for how Peter spends the Lottery money. Honestly I wouldn’t even have time to watch TV if I didn’t get a free DISH Network Sling adapter that gives me live or recorded TV from my employee DVR anywhere I go. Now with my iPhone and Galaxy Tab I watch when I have spare time and still spend quality time with my family when I get home.
