“Louie,” Two “Big Bang Theory” Stars Score Emmy Nominations

His dark FX comedy “Louie” fell short of the Outstanding Comedy Series race, but comedian Louis CK still has a shot at a top-level Emmy. The actor was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Actor in a Leading Role, according to the official Thursday announcement.

“30 Rock”‘s Alec Baldwin and “The Office”‘s Steve Carell, who is believed to have his best shot-to-date thanks to his emotional exist storyline, are also in contention. Beyond those veterans are last year’s winner Jim Parsons and his “The Big Bang Theoy” co-star Johnny Galecki. Matt LeBlanc from “Episodes” also gets a shot.

On the female side, “Raising Hope”‘s Martha Plimpton and “Mike & Molly”‘s Melissa McCarthy join the race occupied by veterans like Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), Amy Poehler (“Parks and Recreation”), Edie Falco (“Nurse Jackie”) and Laura Linney (“The Big C”).

  1. What I love about Big Bang Theory is it makes me laugh throughout the whole 5 seasons so far. I rarely got the chance to have fun due to my workload so this show has become my addiction nowadays. I don’t think that I could survive without it now. It is my source of inspiration and laughter. I hope they will continue the show in future. I am looking forward for Big Bang Theory Season 6 now. I am so excited for it. Hopefully it will turn out as great as the previous seasons. I also enjoy reading your post about Big Bang Theory as I love to keep track on the shows and the people involved in it. Thanks a lot.
