Eminem Tops Drake, Jay-Z For Best Rap Album Grammy Awards

In the running for the overall Album of the Year prize, Eminem has already established himself as a winner at the 2011 Grammy Awards. The rap veteran earned the Best Rap Album prize for his well-received “Recovery.”

The category was stacked with commercial and critical favorites this year. In winning the Grammy trophy, Eminem beat out Jay-Z’s “The Blueprint 3,” Draker’s “Thank Me Later,” The Roots’ “How I Got Over” and BoB’s “The Adventures of Bobby Ray.”

Eminem, who performed the album’s smash single “Love the Way You Lie” earlier in the broadcast, now awaits readings of the Record of the Year (for which “Lie” is nominated) and Album of the Year winners.
