“Jersey Shore” Posts Another Ratings Record for MTV, Tops All of TV

MTV’s “Jersey Shore” continued its ratings dominance Thursday, setting another record and beating all of television in the process.

The latest “Shore” averaged 8.563 million viewers with a 4.4 adults 18-49 rating. With “Grey’s Anatomy” down to a 4.3 rating in the final nationals, “Shore” was able to top all of television–broadcast and cable–with the viewers that count most.

The show scored an impressive 7.9 among women 18-34 and an 8.2 with teens 12-17. Thirty one percent of teens watching television from 10-11pm were watching “Jersey Shore” Thursday night.

MTV airs two new “Jersey Shore” episodes next week. The first, promoted as featuring footage of Snooki’s much-publicized arrest, airs Monday as a lead-in to the US version of “Skins.”
