WWE Sets Main-Event Plans for John Cena, The Miz, Randy Orton, Nexus

Although WWE has not yet begun a true WrestleMania 27 push, it reportedly does have plans that take its key RAW and SmackDown! talent through February of 2011.

The Observer notes that long-term planning has specifically been done to keep The Miz, John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Edge and The Nexus engaged through the early part of next year. Details on how everything will fit together at Mania, however, remain unclear.

It should be noted that while WWE has recently been trying to stick to longer-term booking, audibles have frequently been called. A clear example involves the John Cena-Nexus program, which was originally booked to preserve Cena’s “membership” in Nexus through January.
