Early “Skating with the Stars” Ratings Not Promising

While no verdict can truly be rendered until demographic data releases in the fast nationals, the early word on ABC’s “Skating with the Stars” seems to point out what many skeptical critics and fans argued ahead of the debut–an updated take on FOX’s “Skating with Celebrities” was unnecessary.

According to Mediaweek, “Skating” scored a 7.0 overnight metered market rating, down from the 16.0 from lead-in “Dancing with the Stars.”

Worse, the show bled viewership with a significant downtrend throughout the premiere. After opening to a 10.1 for its early portion, the show’s rating ultimately fell to a 4.6 by 10:30.

  1. I think the show would do better if it had an American Host. Or at least a host that was talented. The guy they have sucks
