Ke$ha Scores Another Number One With “We R Who We R”

Taylor Swift and other country artists might be lighting up the Billboard 200 album sales chart, but the Hot 100 belongs to dance-pop–this week, the genre is represented by the edgy Ke$ha.

“We R Who We R,” the first single from her upcoming “Cannibal” (an expansion to her debut album “Animal” ala Lady Gaga’s “Monster”), will open up its run atop the Billboard Hot 100 single chart. Fueling the impressive debut is a chart-topping 280,000 opening week download count.

Since first breaking out less than a year ago, Ke$ha has had multiple top ten hits on the chart–“TikTok” went to number one, “Your Love is My Drug” hit fourth, “Blah Blah Blah” reached number seven and most recent single “Take it Off” peaked at eight.
