“Easy A,” “Superbad” Actress Eyed for “Spiderman”‘s Mary Jane Role?

“Easy A” was no box office smash, but rave reviews for star Emma Stone’s performance have put her on the radar of those casting the new “Spiderman” reboot.

According to Deadline, Stone, who also appeared in “Zombieland” and “Superbad,” is to receive an “imminent” offer to play Mary Jane Watson. Kirsten Dunst played the key female character in the previous (and wildly successful) film trilogy.

As for the role of Gwen Stacy, contenders appear to be Dianna Agron (“Glee”), Mia Wasikowska (“Alice in Wonderland”), Georgina Haig (“Wasted on the Young”) and Dominique McElligott (“Leap Year”).
